PodcastersU Welcome
Introduction to PodcastersU
Welcome! I am Wendy Mays, the co-host of the
House of FI Podcast.
My co-host and better-half, Curtis, and I
are glad you're here!
Since our launch in August of 2018, what began as an idea and a dream - has grown into a top-ranked podcast that has listeners all over the globe.
Our mission since inception has been to inspire and encourage families of all shapes and demographics to achieve financial independence by teaching them to become debt free, build wealth, and increase their income.
Our success as a podcast encourages us that our message IS reaching families and that brings us a lot of joy.
We have the same amount of excitement helping people pursue their passions. Because you are here, that tells us you are passionate about SOMETHING and want to share it with others and that is pretty awesome!
We decided created this course because we had NO CLUE when we began how much blood, sweat and tears (well, no blood really, and only a little bit of sweat, but there were lots of tears) it would take to actually get to where we are now. Building a podcast is hard work with lots of moving pieces and we learned it all by ourselves.
Sure, there were a few free courses out there, but those were designed to give us "just enough" to get us to purchase a super expensive flagship course - that just was not in the budget! (And as you know we are all about the budget). So we stumbled along and figured it out ourselves.
Which you can too - but this course was created so you don't have to!
The other thing we experienced was that when we did bite the bullet and pay for a course, we completed the course regretting the decision and feeling like we had not gotten our money's worth.
So, we set out to create a high-quality course that would get your podcast idea from CONCEPT TO LAUNCH that you would leave knowing you had made the right decision.
That is our promise to you. And if for any reason, you do not feel we have fulfilled our end of the bargain - we offer a money-back guarantee, no questions asked.
We have just finished our Beta Version of the course and working on making some slight changes after getting input from our inaugural class.

WHY ARE YOU HERE?
So, maybe you have had an idea for a podcast for a while, but you just can't seem to take the first steps - you are gripped with fear, or maybe you aren't even quite sure what the first step is and it all seems so overwhelming.
We TOTALLY get it!We TOTALLY get it!
And let's not talk about how scary it can be to put ourselves out there. For those of us who are introverts, it can be even scarier.
So let's address the fear first - so we can get it out of the way.
I am not going to tell you that the fear will go away right away - it won't. But what I have come to learn is that if we can find enough courage to get past the fear, 99% of the time you'll be glad you did.
Now, the overwhelm.
We are going to tackle bite-sized pieces of putting a podcast together one at a time. For every step, we will be right there with you.
This course is designed to be interactive and so we will be available to ask questions, encourage and give you feedback via our private Facebook group. This group is where you will have access to both Curtis and me, as well as other students - who will be able to help you along the way as well. Think of it like "office hours" - except our office is always open (within reason - we have lives outside of this course and the podcast too.)
You will be given a link to the Facebook Group once you are officially enrolled in the class.
